Monsieur Txokola started in Bayonne, one of the oldest place where chocolate were imported and worked in Europe ! Monsieur Txokola is one of the rarest chocolate maker in France whom is working directly from the bean ! The two chocolate masters Ronan Lagadec et Cyril Pouil.

Epoq is a new restaurant, with a modern cooking by the famous local chef Anthony Orjollet. He uses local products with international inspirations. The food is very healty also. Special mention to their cocktails ! The bartender is really nice and can make cocktails according to your desires, it really worth it and tasty. The place is nothing like local or typical from the Basque Country but more modern such as places that you can find in big cities like Paris, London or elsewhere. Very small and intimate place, it can’t serve a lot of people due to the very shortage place in the restaurant, that’s why you MUST make a reservation before. The restaurant is quiet expensive for Biarritz, prepare to have the same bill as in big cities !

200° of fabulous viewspot of the city “Atalaye” means rocky promontory in Basque. From this unique viewspot, many “Biarrots” ( people from Biarritz) were keeping an eye for the return of the fishermen’s boats. Also they could look out if walles were passing and go hunting them, because yes they were walles hunter. But not anymore since more than a century. They could also watch if ennemies were coming close, they even decide at this place if they have to raise men for kings wars, takes fishermen boats and sailors to go fighting. Now it’s only a beautiful view spot to watch Biarritz from a top point and the sea with large view on the “Rocher de la Vierge” spot, Biarritz city, and all the Atlantic Ocean.

A taste of history Opened in 1872 by Etienne Singher a confectioner from Saint-Moritz, it has been acquired by Jospeh Miremont in 1880. It has become famous with the kings of Europe such as King Alphonso XIII of Spain who oftened lunch there, but also H.M King Edward VII of England who also came to have teatime.
