Biarritz will host 2017 ISA World Surfing Games

International Surfing Association (ISA) choose Biarritz

The city has indeed been choosen to host the 2017 ISA World Surfing Games. This announce brings the competition to Europe for the first time since 2008 ! The decision was held in Costa da Caparica, in Portugal.

In May 2017, the 30th world’s best national surfing teams will come to compete for gold medals and first places. In fact it will not only be in Biarritz, but also in Bidart and Anglet, two others cities well known for their surfing spots.

This event has already been organised in the Basque and Landes country : 1980 for Biarritz and 1992 for Lacanau.

The news has made everyone happy because Biarritz is known as the birthplace of the European surf.

About Arthur CATTANEO

My name is Arthur CATTANEO and I was born in France’s Southwest in the town of Biarritz. After studying law for 2 years, and then obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the IICP in Paris, I put myself out in the work place. Changing cap once again I followed a course to be Multimedia Project Head at the IESA Multimedia of Paris, a school which specialises in the area of multimedia.
